Andel Plastics first Interplas show deemed a success

2017 was the first year that Andel Plastics Ltd decided to exhibit at the Interplas Exhibition at the NEC Birmingham.  The largest Plastics Industry show in the UK, it is only held once every 3 years, so creates a big buzz in the industry and region.

Andel was to be found on stand B66 in a section for Make it in Plastics aimed for the Medical Industry.  However, that didn't stop enquirers coming from all different manufacturing and design backgrounds.

Graham Robinson, Joint Managing Director commented that "We weren't really sure what type of visitors to expect, but were pleasantly surprised with the footfall of the show on all three days.  As well as the quality of leads we acquired."   "It was also a great opportunity to touch base with colleagues in the industry that we often don't get to catch up with."

Helena Flowers, Joint Managing Director also manned the stand at the show and reported that  "I've been visiting this show since I was about 6 holding onto my dad and queuing for the freebies being moulded, so it's quite a change to be on this side of the stand, but no less exciting."

Both MD's managed a quick tour of the exhibition to watch some of the machinery and supplies on offer.  Highlights were the Romi CNC machining centre that can weld up mistakes on the way (not that we make those of course) . The Engel stand with it's injection moulding machine, integrated robot, conveyor and etching unit of QR codes in one footprint, this was a firm favourite with both.

"We have a little investment plan coming up, so it was really valuable to be able to compare and contrast the equipment under one roof, as well as see a wealth of technology we don't have requirements for as yet, but may come up one day."
